Dr. Ivonne A. Herrera (female) is a Senior Adviser working as National Contact Point within ICT and Security at the Norwegian Research Council (Oslo, Norway). Ivonne is NCP lead for the largest European Research and Innovation Programme Horizomn Europe Cluster 4 Digital, Industry and Space and NCP for Cluster 3 Civil Security for Society. She has degrees in electrical engineering (Colombia), Masters in Aeronautical maintenance and Production (France) and PhD in Safety Management and Resilience Engineering (Norway). She has more than 25 years' experience in the industry regarding avionics engineering, air traffic management, safety and resilience. She has been project coordinator for several national and international projects. For example, while working at SINTEF she coordinated Horizon 2020 project DARWIN – Expect the unexpected and know how to respond addressing operationalization of resilience for crisis management and ENGAGE Project - Engage Society for Risk Awareness and Resilience. Ivonne worked as vice-chair of the Clean Sky 2 JU Scientific Committee. Since 2004, she has been invited as an independent expert acting as an evaluator, reviewer of research activities FP6, FP7 and H2020 by the European Commission. Ivonne worked as Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology teaching and supervising students in areas related to safety management, risk governance and resilience engineering. She is currently President of the global network on resilience - Resilience Engineering Association (www.resilience-engineering-association.org). She is fluent in English, Norwegian, French and Spanish. She likes family time, good food and sailing.
