Bio Dr. Chuang is currently a professor at the Graduate Institute of Data Science, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan. Her research and specialist skills include system design and visualization analysis, risk management, quality and patient safety, resilience engineering in health care. Dr. Chuang’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in systems engineering and a Master’s degree in computer and information science. She has a post-doctoral researcher in the School of Medicine & Public Health, University of Newcastle, AU, which was funded by Endeavour Research Fellowship Awards from Australian Education International in 2008-2009. She also has more than 18 years of industry experience working in electronics, aerospace, software development companies, and health care across Asia, Oceania and the United States of America. She has developed several system models and computer systems, such as mass casualty distribution (MCD) simulation system and MCD APP, Incidents analysis system. Also, several articles in resilience studies are published. Currently, her studies focus on applying system simulations and big data analytics to improve the emergency medical service system in Taiwan. |
