Aims
The Conference — devoted to non-classical logics — was initially held in Łódź in September 2008 and 2009. Later on, it was organized alternately in Toruń (2010, 2012, 2015, 2018) and Łódź (2011, 2013, 2016). The conference serves as a forum to effectively exchange novel results and to survey works in widely understood non-classical logics and their applications.
This year's tenth edition of the Conference will be an occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the logic journal Bulletin of the Section of Logic, established in 1971 and published by the University of Łódź. It will be a hybrid event held simultaneously on Teams Live and at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Łódź.
Scope
Topics of theoretical and applied interest including (but not limited to):
- many-valued logics,
- modal logics,
- non-monotonic logics,
- paraconsistent logics,
- plausible reasoning,
- substructural logics,
- contra-classical logics,
- relevant and connexive reasoning,
- description logics.
Other fields of interest, related to:
- cognitive science,
- computer science,
- foundations of mathematics,
- philosophy of language,
- philosophy of mind.
are also welcome.
Special session in memoriam J. Michael Dunn
J. Michael Dunn, long time collaborator and member of the Editorial Board of Bulletin of the Section of Logic, passed away on 5 April 2021. Professor Dunn was known for his work in logic, in particular relevance logics, substructural logics and quantum logics, as well as quantum computation and subjective probability.
We would like to comemmorate his life and work by organizing a special session in memoriam. We solicit all contributions fitting the topic of the session.
