She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Industrial Engineering of Florence (DIEF) - Waste Valorization Group.

The main Research topics are:

• Energy characterization of organic substrates through biomethanation test in batch reactors (Biochemical Methane Potential, BMP test) and in continuous anaerobic digesters (CSTR); 
• Evaluation of the biological stability of organic matters as compost from sourceselected organic fraction and compost from mechanical biological treatment plant, determination of the Dynamic Respirometric Index (DRI) through respirometric test and selfheating test; 
• Innovative systems for the enhancement of biomethane and biohydrogen production from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste through substrates pretreatment; 
• Application of Life Cycle assessment (LCA) to waste management end energy conversion processes.
