Bio Francesca Benassi received the M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2017. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the electronics, telecommunications, and information technologies engineering Ph.D. programme, working within the framework of the PRIN WPT4WID (“Wireless Power Transfer for Wearable and Implantable Devices”) Project. In 2017, she joined the Interdepartmental Center for Industrial ICT Research (CIRI ICT), University of Bologna, as a Research Fellow within the EU-supported “HABITAT” Project. Her research interests include the design of wireless power transfer systems operating at microwaves and millimeter waves for both in wearable and implantable biomedical devices and microwave systems for fluid detection. Ms. Benassi received the MTT-S Graduate Fellowship Award in 2021 and she was also an awardee of the 2021 EuMA Internship Award. |
