Travel, Accommodation, Local Information
Travel and Entry
- Aiports: Manizales' Airport La Nubia code is MZL. There are no international flights to MZL, but there are connections via (at least) El Dorado - Bogotá International Airport (BOG). The Aeropuerto Internacional Matecaña (PEI) is in Pereira (1.5-2 hours away) - this is bigger and has more flights.
- For attendees flying into PEI, the conference organizers Organizacion Campus <organizacioncampus@gmail.com> are coordinating shared transport to Manizales. The price is maximally COP242,000 for 1-3 people. If you email them your flight details they will coordinate sharing, which will determine the final price per-person.
- Visas: Most passports can be used without a visa. For more information about visas, see this page. There are lists of passports that do not need visas. And there are more details if you never want to leave :-)
- COVID: Visitors to Colombia ages 18 or older must provide proof (original, physical vaccination card or digital certificate) of complete vaccination or a negative COVID test, and complete Migración Colombia’s online Check-Mig form. Here are the full details.
