Social Events
LPAR has a strong tradition of social events that allow attendees to experience the local culture. For LPAR-26 the following events are planned:
- Sunday, 25th October - Welcome reception - AKSS
- Monday, 26th October - Conference banquet at the Mourayo restaurant
- Wednesday 28th October - Excursion - Boat trip or Quad safari
- Friday, 30th October - Farewell dinner - AKSS
Boat trip
The tour starts in Dapia. Cruise across the coast towards the Old Port. Pass through the sandy beach of Agia Marina, the private island of Spetsopoula and arrive at Agioi Anargyri beach, which is the first stop. Free time for swimming, sunbathing, and visiting the Bekiri Cave. Meet the Quad safari here for lunch (box lunch from AKSS). After lunch cruise across the other side of the island, towards the Agia Paraskevi beach, Zogeria beach, Vrellos, Ligoneri and conclude the tour in Dapia.

Quad safari
The safari starts in Dapia. Take the road that goes around the island, passing by all the beaches. Go up the hill passing Agia marina beach, for amazing views including Spetsopoula island on the other side. Then straight to Agioi Anargyri beach to meet the boat trip people for lunch (box lunch from AKSS). Then continue on, passing Agia Paraskevi beach to Zogeria beach, for a stop because it’s an amazing beach. Continue on passing Vrellos and Kaiki, ending back in Dapia. That's a complete tour of the whole island! You must have a driver's license to drive a quad!
