Simulation as a Tool to Identify Dynamical Typology of Water Frog Hemiсlonal Population Systems
PRESENTER: Dmytro Shabanov

ABSTRACT. Some related species give rise to interspecies hybrids with hemiclonal inheritance. The gametes of such hybrids transfer the set of hereditary information of one of the parental species. The water frog, Pelophylax esculentus, is an example of such hybrids. The hemiclonal hybrids together with their parental species form a biosystem for which the suggested name is Hemiclonal Population System (HPS). The phenomenon of interspecific hemiclonal reproduction of water frogs has been intensively explored for several decades, but insufficient study has been devoted to the mechanisms of the composition constancy and ecological stability of their population systems. In this paper we focus on sustainability and possible results of transformations (in terms of different genetic forms and of population dynamics of each of these forms) of HPSs that consist of diploid representatives. By means of a simulation model we evaluated the long-term consequences of parameters that were derived from empirical research on a natural HPS at a particular brief time-period. This research was carried out in the region of eastern Ukraine, the so-called Siverskyi Donets center of diversity of the Pelophylax esculentus complex. Our study describes the development of a dynamic typology of the HPS by principal component analysis of data generated by the simulations. We investigate the space of the possible states of the HPS. The simulations helped to split this state-space into six areas of stability, each of which corresponds to a different type of stability. Before conducting the simulation study we assumed there were only four truly stable states. Two new states were identified as a result of using this model.

Simulating Pairwise Communication for Studying Its Impact on Macro-Behaviour of Communities

ABSTRACT. Communication on the fly made possible by modern information and communication technology is a characteristic feature of modern society. This style of communication significantly changed social life and provided new ways of public opinion formation. New social practice poses new challenges for specialists studying social phenomena. One of these problems is the problem of the reliability of public opinion measurements, which are always based on indirect assessments. Unfortunately, indirect assessments depend essentially on the suggestions accepted during their development. The marked above changes raised by the technological progress require the new mathematical suggestions lied in the base of public opinion measurements. This paper is to draw attention to this situation and to begin the movement toward the rigorous theory of public opinion measurements basing on social phenomena mathematical models of adequate to features of modern communication processes. It seems that authors' first results are consistent to hypotheses of a number of sociologists working in this area.

Optimizing Automated Term Extraction for Terminological Saturation Measurement
PRESENTER: Victoria Kosa

ABSTRACT. Assessing the completeness of a document collection within a domain of interest is a complicated task that requires substantial effort. Even if an automated technique is used, for example, terminology saturation measurement based on automated term extraction, run times grow quite quickly with the size of the input text. In this paper, we address this issue and propose an optimized approach based on partitioning the collection of documents in disjoint constituents and computing the required term candidate ranks (using the c-value method) independently with subsequent merge of the partial bags of extracted terms. It is proven in the paper that such an approach is formally correct – the total c-values can be represented as the sums of the partial c-values. The approach is also validated experimentally and yields encouraging results in terms of the decrease of the necessary run time and straightforward parallelization without any loss in quality.

VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL PHYSICS EXPERIMENT AS A MEANS OF FORMATION OF THE SCIENTIFIC WORLDVIEW OF THE PUPILS

ABSTRACT. An important component of the general aim of secondary education is the formation of a scientific worldview of the youth; it is based on empirical and theoretical knowledge about the world as a whole. The most fundamental laws and principles of nature compose a comprehensive physics picture of the world. An important part of formation of the picture in the pupils’ minds is experimental verification of the fundamental laws of nature. The analysis of a significant number of currently available in the domestic market physics-based software products has shown that they are presented in the form of electronic tutorials, electronic libraries, and various virtual physics laboratories designed to study models of physical processes or phenomena. The authors prove the definition of virtual educational physics experiment (VEPE) as a kind of educational physics experiment that is carried out using digital models of phenomena and processes, multimedia, interactive animations, and simulations. In accordance with the didactic aim, the VEPE is divided into demonstration and laboratory. Application of the VEPE during the study of molecular physics shows the suitability of its using for a new material explaining, the knowledge updating, and determination of the degree of formation of the pupils’ subject competence. The conclusion about necessity of the search of optimal forms and methods for integrating real and virtual experiments is made by the authors; the integration will promote both the visibility and accessibility of material perception and the development of the pupils’ creative abilities and various forms of thinking.

PRESENTER: Oksana Karpenko

ABSTRACT. Successful functioning of the knowledge economy is impossible without qualitative content education. The current state of Ukrainian universities suggests an imperfect mechanism for the commercialization of knowledge and technology, shows the "isolation" of education and science from the needs and expectations of the industrial sector, the labor market, society as a whole. The article analyzes new models of university development, which give additional opportunities for the university community to realize intellectual potential. The concept of a market-oriented innovation university based on a "knowledge triangle" is dominant. The authors of the article have developed a knowledge transfer strategy that involves the interaction of education, science and innovation. Its implementation will ensure the improvement of the quality of educational services, the competitiveness of universities, maximization of productivity of development and research, their commercialization. Based on the proposed knowledge transfer strategy, the authors built the mechanism of an innovative university formation. The result of the latest innovation environment of knowledgeof formation will be to increase prestige of the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies, to prepare a highly intelligent human resource, to meet the needs of society etc.

Integration of Information Systems for Predicting the Employee Behavior

ABSTRACT. The era of digitalization leads to redesigning not only business models of organizations, but to rethinking the HR paradigm to harness the power of state-of-the-art technology for Human Capital Management (HCM) optimization. Cognitive processing, predictive analytics, and computational intelligence will bring transformative change to HCM. This paper deals with issues of decision support in HCM based on the models of predictive workforce analytics (WFA) and Business Intelligence (BI). The implementation of predictive Data Mining models complements the study of OLAP-cubes, the formation and visualization of advanced reporting by force of BI systems. Several models of effective integration of information systems for predictive WFA are proposed, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. As an example, integration of HCM system, the analytics platform (IBM SPSS Modeler) and BI systems (IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Planning Analytics, IBM Watson Analytics) for predicting the employee attrition is shown. This integration provides a cycle ‘prediction – planning – performance review – causal analysis’ to support data-driven decision making in proactive HCM.

Heterogeneous Hybrid Neural Network for Modeling Spatially Distributed Destructive Processes
PRESENTER: Marina Zharikova

ABSTRACT. In this paper, a hybrid model of cellular neural network based on heterogeneous spiking neurons connected with a spatial model of terrain through hierarchically ordered context is proposed. Spatial cells are considered as elements of the neural network (neurons) and events are considered as spikes at the neuron output. A discrete automaton model with integrated likelihood model supplements a hybrid spiking neuron model to determine the neuron state at specified time points based on probability or possibility of state transitions. The structure of neuron connec-tions in the model resembles a cellular network model. The hierarchical context containing a set of transmitters allows organizing additional channels of commu-nication between neurons and provide remote sensing data to the neural network. Neurons have controlled sensitivity to transmitters with special receptors con-nected to the network context. The method of modeling spatial distributed de-structive processes using the proposed hybrid neural networks is presented. The proposed method and models is intended for modeling dynamic systems with dif-ferent types of simultaneously arising interacting processes with respect of their spatiotemporal aspects.

ABSTRACT. Mobile applications allow connecting the world around us with digital information. Augmented Reality (AR) applications are commonly used in museums, education and for research. AR applications can attract users with contextual and locally specific information. We present a concept, development of augmented reality (AR) application “Tilsimli arifler” in which we create literate environment for motivating of children in practicing reading and writing. In order to enhance the kids reading ability we propose to develop a learning mobile application that allows using modern mobile technologies, in particular, using the technology of augmented reality, to study the alphabet and learn how to make words. In this case, a prerequisite was the use of special (drawn) cards and a camera of a mobile device. When scanning a card with a camera on a user's smartphone, a three-dimensional image of the object deposited on the card should appear and which can be rotated in different directions (“spinning”) in real time.

PRESENTER: Oleg Dekusha

ABSTRACT. Thermal resistance is the main informative characteristic when monitoring the quality of insulating materials and the thermal stability of enclosing structures. In particular, the actual values of thermal resistance as a key indicator are important in the assessment of the energy efficiency of the building. This work describes the information-measuring system for monitoring the ther-mal resistance of the building enclosure constructions. A scheme for modular construction of the system using various data transmission technologies has been proposed. For the registration of monitoring parameters, specially-designed sen-sors of heat flux and temperature have been applied. Provided solutions gives possibilities for measuring thermal resistance in 2 ... 40 zones simultaneously and monitoring of enclosing building constructions of complex shape. An experimental prototype of the system was created and a software module for registration and processing of measurement information was developed. The combined method for the experimental determination of the buildings enclo-sure constructions thermal resistance is proposed, and the procedures for carrying out measurements necessary for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the thermal protection of the building enclosure according to ISO 6781: 2015 and ISO 9869: 2014 are described. The results of thermal resistance measurements for various types of building con-structions are presented. The reliability of the obtained results is confirmed by tests carried out in the la-boratory whose quality control system is certified according to ISO 17025

ABSTRACT. In the following paper we provide analysis on testing procedure and development of software models, and application architecture for investigation of error-correcting codes’ parameters and decoding algorithms. The proposed models can be applied for the development of software for decoding Turbo-Product Codes (TPC). They allow simplifying development process and retrieve universal solution for TPC investigation. The models are described in the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and follow design pattern recommendations. They can be used for software implementation in various programming languages that support object-oriented model. Heatmap visualization tool is supposed to be the main part for visual investigation of the decoding process. In this work, we propose metrics for heatmap organization and explained behavior of the cells to deliver comprehensible presentation of the message state during decoding process. The combination of metric and heatmap component provides effective way to observe impact of each decoding algorithm element on the process and gives abundant information for comparative analysis about algorithm improvements.

Maintaining Scientific Integrity through Academic-Industrial Research and Development Cooperation
PRESENTER: Marina Zharikova

ABSTRACT. Studies in modern universities are closely integrated with research, innovation, and knowledge transfer. Research and development activity can improve the quality of education and help to achieve the desired demands of the labor market, especially if high-tech enterprises are involved in the process. However, employers may be dissatisfied with graduates because of their unethical research practices. The latter is a complex multi-faceted phenomenon that requires a holistic response, beyond just a policy of information and sanctions. This is especially true for master and doctoral degree students involved in research and development. It is more preferable to encourage them to build their creativity and critical thinking skills as a precondition for research integrity than institutionalize policies and procedures. The aim of the paper is to develop avenues to maintain scientific integrity among second- and third-level students of higher education institutions by establishing effective cooperation between universities and high-tech enterprises in the field of research and development. The paper outlines the problem of unethical research practices, the analysis of the reasons and typology of research dishonesty is undertaken. The infrastructure, information technology, and appropriate tools for academic-industrial cooperation providing ethically sustainable research and innovation practices are proposed. High-tech enterprises are involved in feedback using monitoring and audit tools for systematic and independent examination of research and development activities of students. The adoption of developed information technology and tools will ensure scientific integrity in practice and allow teaching students to think like scientists through building their creative and innovation skills in close cooperation with leading high-tech enterprises.

The Maple ® Symbolic Mathematics System in the Method of Projections for Discrete Optimization Problems
PRESENTER: L. S. Chernova

ABSTRACT. Successful project activities in the IT industry are determined by the extent of difficulty in the team formation and implementation of projects themselves. IT projects provide for fulfillment of a number of tasks that are interrelated. In formation of such a project, account should be taken of certain factors necessary for its successful implementation, determination of the technology for fulfilling intermediate tasks: consecutive or parallel, and for setting the priorities. This approach requires detailed calculation and scientifically grounded decisions. The authors have proposed an original approach to solving discrete optimization problems related to fundamental calculation difficulties in the process of an IT project formation. The known methods of exact or approximate solution of such problems are studied with account taken of their belonging to so-called P- and NP-class problems (the polynomial and the exponential solution algorithms). The modern combinatory and heuristic methods for solving practical discrete optimization problems require development of algorithms that allow obtaining approximate solution with guaranteed estimate of deviation from the optimum. Simplification algorithms provide an efficient method of searching for an optimization problem solution. Should a multidimensional process be projected onto the two-dimensional surface, this will enable graphical visualization of sets of the problem solutions. This research provides a way for simplifying the combinatory solution of a discrete optimization problem. It is based on decomposition of the system that represents the system constraining a multidimensional output problem to the two-dimensional coordinate plane. Such method allows obtaining a simple system of graphical solutions of a complicated linear discrete optimization problem. From the practical

point of view, the proposed method allows reducing the calculation complicacy of optimization problems belonging to this class when the IT project solutions are complicated. The approach proposed can be applied in using the obtained research result for assuring the possibility to improve the class of problems presented by linear equation systems. The automation of calculations in the Maple ® environment provides the basis for further development and improvement of such algorithms, and for using in teaching a number of disciplines in education programs on IT project management aimed at Master’s degree.

The model "information gatekeepers" for sentiment analysis of text data

ABSTRACT. The approach to application of the model "information gatekeepers" for filtering messages, taking into account the tonality of text data and making a decision on further dissemination of information for the implementation of socially necessary restrictions on the processes of dissemination and obtaining information is considered in the paper. The peculiarities of the classical models of "information gatekeepers" are analyzed and the approach to clustering of messages in social networks is proposed based on the function of evaluation of the message using sentiment data analysis for the implementation of the procedures of "semantic content filtering". The specifics of the sources of information, the ways of its presentation, the peculiarities of the formation of target communities, which are information oriented, socio-political, religious, ethnic, cultural, legal, age, and other aspects of social life have been taken into account. The main actor of the system based on the use of this model is the "information gatekeeper", which, before the broadcast of the message via specific communication channel, implements an evaluation function for the message. The problem of sentimental analysis of custom text data is considered. An algorithm for classifying custom texts is introduced. The rules for creating a dictionary of basic words reflecting the evaluation of a particular object and methods for classifying texts are described. The algorithm of allocation of problem statements is proposed. To solve the problem of sentiment text analysis, an approach based on knowledge is used that involves the use of additional expert resources in the form of dictionaries of indicative words and expressions, composed manually or automatically, and writing rules that reflect the structure of fragments of text data. The advantage of this approach is the ability to ensure the effectiveness of the classification of texts without loss of quality of work for various subject areas. Two methods of classification of problem statements are proposed.

Rule-based machine translation into Ukrainian Sign Language using concept dictionary

ABSTRACT. This paper describes rule-based machine translation into Ukrainian Sign Lan-guage using concept dictionary. Ukrainian Sign Language has its own grammar rules that are different from the Ukrainian spoken language. That is why, it is necessary to develop a system for recording all the elements of sign language, to create appropriate translation dictionaries and grammar rules for parsing and translating sign language correctly. The translation from spoken language to sign language is not an easy task. Sometimes a single sign means a whole phrase, but more often several signs are used to explain a single word. To solve this problem, it is used an approach based on concepts and relationships between them. We identified five main cases of relationships between words, signs and concepts used for translating Ukrainian Sign Language. It is proposed an algorithm for translation from Ukrainian Spoken Language to Ukrainian Sign Language based on concepts. The algorithm was tested using database of 360 sentences, which contained 60 concepts. As a result, 87% of sentences were translated accurately, 32% of which contained concepts, 13% were not translated due to the lack of word to sign correspondence.

Educational Analogy Dedicated for Didactical Process Simulation

ABSTRACT. The article presents a new method of modelling the didactical process using a developed educational network and the microsystems simulator. The didactical process can be represented in the intuitive form of a network of connected elements in a similar way to the electrical circuits. The network represents the differential equations describing a dynamic system which models the information flows as well as learning and forgetting phenomena. The solutions of the equations are more adequate than the direct formulas used in modelling ie. the learning and forgetting curves known from the literature. The network variables and their meaning are relative to generalized variables defined in the generalized environment. This enables using any of the microsystems simulators and gives access to many advanced simulation algorithms. The paper can be interesting for those who deal with modelling of the systems which incorporates the learning and forgetting process, in particular, in production processes or learning platforms.

PRESENTER: Olha Prokopenko

ABSTRACT. This research addresses the issues of information and communications technologies (ICT) support of participation of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in innovation networks by indicating some strategies and approaches for ICT infrastructure management. The implementation of ICT is based not only on the operational approach for HEI management as a factor in modernizing the communications efficiency, but also on trends of knowledge and post-industrial economy. The study is based on the idea, that the management of the formation and transfer of intellectual resources becomes the key task of HEIs in the framework of their new role in development. The central question then becomes how ICT can support HEIs to integrate successfully into the innovation network at various levels. To answer this question, we take a closer look at the S2B–B2S (Science-to-Business – Business-to-Science) cooperation processes features within the innovation networks. Based on research results the main directions of ICT-innovations application for the creation of educational programs based on unified scientific-educational and innovation processes with application of interdisciplinary problem-oriented and project-oriented educational technologies were formulated. Moreover, this paper explores the effects of C-engineering approach application for multidisciplinary engineering analysis purposes in S2B – B2S cooperation processes. The results suggest that the creation of network mechanisms based on C-engineering will provide an opportunity to consolidate the information resources of HEIs, government agencies, specialized organizations and innovation business centers in modern innovation projects. The main issues and cases of ICT application in HEIs for technology transfer management thought the creation of smart environment of HEIs researches programs for business were considered. Empirically examining of these cases produced a more complete understanding of HEI ICT-based networked strategies. The given recommendations can be used by policy makers in R&D, managers of education and/or R&D organizations within the technology transfer strategies and innovation education technologies implementation projects to improve the interaction between HEIs and business within the innovation networks.

Search Query Classification Using Machine Learning for Information Retrieval Systems in Intelligent Manufacturing

ABSTRACT. The problem of the information retrieval systems operation efficiency increasing in manufacturing is analysed and the general statement of research task is carried out. The training sample preparation for search queries classification was performed, during which the task of search queries classification was formulated, pre-processing of the search query texts was carried out and the dictionary was generated. For the dictionary formation, search queries tokenization and stamping were initially carried out, and then a dictionary was created in the words weight vector form based on the search query text generalized evaluation. On the basis of prepared dictionary (as the matrix of 121×1119 elements) the search queries classifier model was developed and experimentally investigated. The neural network learning was performed. In the result the network with best performance was determined, for which neurons number for the first layer is 30, and for second layer is 5. The developed neural network can be integrated into the information retrieval system in the form of a classifier in 5 categories. It will make possible to classify search queries and thereby increase the information retrieval system operation speed in manufacturing.

Software-algorithmic tool for analyzing the processes of messages distribution in social networks
PRESENTER: N. Kunanets

ABSTRACT. A specific model of the message dissemination in the social network is considered by the authors. Every person in this model is considered as a neuron which activation function is finded as a decision of the specific systems of differencial equations which describe the information distribution in the chain of the network graph. This model allows to take into account the specific mechanisms for messages transmission, where information graph with vertex as individuals is considered. They, receiving a message, form their attitude towards it, and then make decision on the further transmission of this message, on condition that the corresponding potential of two individuals interaction exceeds a certain threshold level. The authors developed the original algorithm for calculating time moments of message distribution in the corresponding chain, which comes to the solution of a series of Cauchy problems for systems of ordinary nonlinear differential equations and propose a realisation of this algorithm in Maple.

Methodology for the Construction of Predictive Analysis Systems as Exemplified by the Mining Equipment in the Conditions of Big Data and Simulation Methods

ABSTRACT. Almost all elements of economic activity somehow exist according to the laws of macroeconomics. This is facilitated by the rapid development of international relations, the acceleration of logistics operations, political, religious, cultural integration and unification at the level of interstate relations and interactions (as a result of the evolution of state-formed market systems). At the same time, every year more and more significant influence on macroeconomics is played by minor global factors that were previously practically not taken into account, such as climate change, growth of the world population, etc. Thus, today, every company seeking to be efficient and profitable needs to focus not only on the laws of the domestic market, but also on global trends when building it’s strategies and implementing tactical tasks [1]. All the above prerequisites gave rise to a new concept of production development, called Industry 4.0. Previous scientific and technological revolution led to the automation of individual processes and devices, while Industry 4.0 provides for the end-to-end digitization of all physical assets and their integration into the digital ecosystem along with the assets of partners involved in the value chain. The creation of the concept Industry 4.0 in the framework of solving the problems of managing modern technological processes and production had several basic prerequisites. One of them is related with the fact that the complication of the socalled material part of production, of course, also leads to the complication of the organizational component. It is becoming more difficult for a modern manager to make the right management decisions. In the progression, the variability of the applied goals, conditions, restrictions, and with them the scale of possible consequences, increases. Another important reason is the fact that in modern management conditions it is necessary not only to obtain statistics and analytics of production, but also to be able to predict using the obtained data. High-performance methods should be applied to isolate the most important and relevant information at the time of the decision, with the possibility of a predictive analysis of possible options for events.

AR and VR as gamification of cognitive tasks
PRESENTER: Oleksandr Burov

ABSTRACT. Introduction Converting technologies of the NBIC (nano-, bio-, info- and cognitive) create a new environment for human life and promote to the fundamentally new instruments of the techno-evolutionary process. Naturally, scientists associate their hopes with the creation of the concept of combining the humanistic and technological components of the educational process, creating a positive integrated reality provided convergence of physical and virtual learning environments. WE believe, the positive potential of the information and education environment saturated with digital technologies can be manifested primarily in the growth of cognitive activity of every learning subject. If students learn the information images of real-life phenomena and processes, by experimenting with different digital instruments and technologies (simulation, computer simulation, complemented reality, etc.), this will provide creative activity in the integrated (real and virtual) learning environment. The trends of modern corporate learning (virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, including the use of chat bots, knowledge bases, video content creation, micro curriculum and mobile learning) affect the evolution of tools, forms and methods of teaching in general education. Purpose Analisys of the use of AV and VR in school education. Results and discussion Gamification as a direction of research in education has appeared relatively recently, it is based "on the intersection" of psychology, behavioral economics, management, and game design. To date, the most cited publications are the works of M. Barber, J. McGonigel, D. Clark, Lee Sheldon, K. Verbach. According to Kevin Verbach, “Gamification is use of gaming elements and game design techniques in non-gaming contexts”. Among the various forms of gamification (competition, game without winner and aesthetics), we have focused on creating a general game impression that promotes emotional engagement, the ability to make the task more understandable, to clarify the nature and effectiveness of the phenomenon in action, to enhance the visualization of results, to strengthen the vector of mental development. Our point is to use AV/VR for this. In our opinion, although the virtual reality creates the effect of full immersion, the augmented reality will find more use in schoolchildren education. The technology of augmented reality can be considered more democratic, since the user has enough to have a smartphone. In contrast, one needs special tools for viewing and managing in the VR course: helmet or virtual reality glasses, and a variety of manipulators that capture the user's hand and gestures and give you more control over the environment. In the report "Virtual reality and its potential for Europe" (2018), one of the priority directions of VR/AR technologies application is recognized the education. Our research is aimed at creating a pedagogically balanced justification of methodological systems that use VR/AR technologies to model cognitive tasks, in particular as an element of their gamification. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the functionality of mobile applications of the augmented reality Da Vinci Machines AR, Electricity AR, Bridges AR, Geometry, the collection of VR models VictoryVR Science Curriculum and the digital collection Mozaik. The possibility of using these tools for educational purposes, in particular, for creating cognitive tasks for students during the study of subjects in the natural and mathematical cycle, is explored. The indicated shortcomings are stated, didactic requirements for such educational activities are formulated. Among others, attention is focused on the following indicators: hardware, usability, variability of model parameters, interactivity, interdisciplinary use, the ability to activate certain cognitive actions of students, degree/form of gamification. The educational potential of using interactive models and video for both group and individual work with students is analyzed. Examples of methodical developments are given.
