Oleksandr Trunin, Associate Professor, Department of Geology and Applied Mineralogy,

Kryvyi Rih National University, Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine

Oleksandr Trunin, born in 1962, received a Candidate of Philosophical Sciences degree (Dr. phil.) from the Moscow Geological-Exploration Institute. Since 1987, he has been working at Kryvyi Rih National University, where he teaches courses in crystallography and mineralogy, applied mineralogy, and the basics of geochemistry. His research interests include typomorphism and ontogeny of  minerals, applied mineralogy, and topomineralogy. He is the author of more than 60 scientific articles and teaching materials, including in international publications.
