Bio Jorge Barbosa received the BSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal, the MSc in Digital Systems from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, England, in 1993, and the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from FEUP, Portugal, in 2001. He is Associate Professor at FEUP at the Informatics Engineering Department. His research activities are related to parallel algorithms, heterogeneous computing, resources management, data locality, energy-aware scheduling, and performance modelling for heterogeneous systems. He has (co-) authored over 60 scientific publications, including journal/conference papers and book chapters. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Elsevier Journal “Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory”. |
