Prof. Dr. Tim Weingaertner is a lecturer at the Department of Information Technology at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Switzerland. In teaching and research, he focuses on Blockchain technology / DLT and Smart Contracts. As a representative in the Smart-up Program, he supports the promotion of young start-ups from the university.

Tim obtained his PhD in the area of medical robotics at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and subsequently worked over 15 years in the Swiss financial industry.
