Ji Liu, Ph.D., staff researcher with Big Data Laboratory, Baidu Research, Beijing, China. He obtained the Ph.D. degree from the University of Monpellier and the Microsoft Research Inria Joint centre. He was a postdoctoral researcher with Inria and LIRMM, University of Montpellier, France. His research interests mainly include federated learning, distributed machine learning, scientific workflows, and big data. He has published several papers in major international conferences, e.g., AAAI, KDD, journals, e.g., TKDE, TITS, TKDD, and is a co-author of the book “Data-Intensive Workflow Management For Clouds and Data-Intensive and Scalable Computing Environments” published by Morgan Claypool in 2019.
