Bio

Ernesto Dufrechou earned his Ph.D. degree from the Universidad de laRepública in 2018, elaborating his theses under the tuition of Dr. PabloEzzatti and Dr. Enrique Quintana-Ortı́. Currently, he teaches NumericalLinear Algebra and General Purpose GPU programming courses at the university. His current research interests include the application of parallel computing techniques to accelerate numerical methods and matrix computations, sparse numerical linear algebra, and energy-aware computing. In particular, most of his research is devoted to the use of accelerators and heterogeneous platforms to boost the performance of NLA kernels.
