Mechanical Engineer, National University of Colombia, Faculty of Minas, Medellin (2011). Master (2014) and Doctor (2018) in Sciences of Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in Energy and Fluids, Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. His research activity has been funded by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels - ANP, PRH-19 (2012-2018), the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship Program - ESKAS (2016-2017), the Colombian Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation - COLCIENCIAS, and the Brazilian Petroleum Company S.A. - PETROBRAS. Honored with the ABCM Embraer 2019 Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Mechanical Engineering Research, and the Best Paper Award at the ECOS 2016 Conference, in Portoroz, Slovenia. Currently he works in the area of ​​Optimization of Industrial Processes at the Laboratory of Thermal and Environmental Engineering (LETE) of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP), in collaboration with the Bioprocesses and Reactive Flow group (BioFR) located at the Faculty of Minas, National University of Colombia, Medellin. Member of the Colombian Association of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers - ACIEM Antioquia. Expertise areas: ​​Thermal and Environmental Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science, Numerical Methods, Combustion, Thermodynamics, Exergy Analysis, CFD, Heat Transfer and Synthesis and Optimization of Chemical Processes and Power Generation.
