ABSTRACT. Michael Taube is a consulting engineer with over 35 years of experience. Following completion of his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1988, he worked for LyondellBasell (fka ARCO Chemical) and Honeywell in technical, supervisory, project leadership and consulting positions. Since 2002, Mr. Taube has served the global process industries as an independent consultant providing solutions to clients in the USA, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Africa.
With extensive experience in process design, process control and instrumentation, Mr. Taube’s expertise covers a broad range of process operations and technologies. He expresses the passion for his craft by training & mentoring new engineering hires, graduate students & colleagues, in addition to sharing his experiences in university lectures and international symposia. More recently, due to the continued occurrence of large and small-scale incidents, Mr. Taube’s consulting practice has expanded to collaborate with operational excellence and safety culture experts in promoting foundational long-term solutions for the complex challenges and growing needs facing the global process industries.
He has (co)authored numerous industrial and academic papers and articles and is also a co-author of the book “A Real-Time Approach to Distillation Process Control” published by Wiley.
