Online Labs: a Perspective Based on Bibliometric Analysis

EasyChair Preprint no. 6602

7 pagesDate: September 13, 2021

Abstract

The main objective of this contribution was to carry out a conceptual scientific mapping analysis of the research of virtual laboratories applied in engineering technologies. The SciMAT software tool is used with an approach that allows us to discover the main research topics and analyze them according to their performance and impact measures. A number of 429 documents were retrieved from the Scopus database from the period 2000 to 2020 to build the results. Consequently, the researchers focus on 5 key topics: online labs, educational computing, online experiments, laboratory experiments, and networked control systems. In this way, topics such as online laboratories, educational computing and online experiments are considered the motor topics of the specialty for the last evaluated period (2016-2020)

Keyphrases: Laboratorios online, Laboratorios remotos, Laboratorios Virtuales
