Study of Phytochemistry and Appetizing Activity of Decocted Leaves of Opilia Celtidifolia Guill. and Perr. (OPILIACEAE) in Rats

EasyChair Preprint no. 3407

Abstract

summary Our study focused on verifying the appetizing activity of the leaves of Opilia celtidifolia. The phytochemical study, highlighted saponosides, oses and holosides, and mucilages which can be used among the chemical markers for the quality control of the leaves of Opilia celtidifolia. Many polyphenolic constituents have shown a strong anti-free radical activity, this is in favor of an antioxidant activity beneficial for hepatoprotection. Daily administration of the leaf decoction, at doses of 50mg / Kg, 100 mg / kg and 200 mg / kg and the oral decoct of Opilia celtidifolia, for 37 days caused individual weight gain in rats. The decocted dose of 200 mg / kg caused a decrease in transaminases (ALAT and ASAT) and blood sugar in rats. There was an increase in water consumption during the test, and an increase in GGT and uric acid. We therefore recommend resuming this study with maceration. Keywords: Traditional Medicine, Opilia celtidifolia, Appetizing activity.

Keyphrases: Appétissante, Pharmacopée, plantes
