The Use of the Research-Action-Development Methodology in an Adaptive Hypermedia System

Abstract

The current educational trend is directed towards the development of interactive systems that allow students to concentrate on reasoning and problem solving. As a research group we have created several Adaptive Hypermedia Systems (HAS). With a research-action-development methodology, the learning activities of these systems were built (Vera, Navarro, Guerrero, 2019); (Vera, Fuchs, Navarro, 2018); (Guerrero, González, Vera, 2017); (Vera, Marina, Navarro, 2017). This work presents the description and steps of the action research methodology for the creation of the learning strategies and activities of these SHAs that have achieved a significant change in the learning and skills of students in different topics and educational levels. .
