Digital Transformation Towards Industry 4.0: Literature Review

Abstract

This paper presents a bibliographical review of works related to Industry 4.0 as well as the transformation of industry and society through globalization, the Internet and the use of new information technologies, thus creating a new transformation of the business models of companies where technological trends are used that are essential components for industry 4.0. The purpose of this research is to provide an updated vision through bibliographical consultations on the digital transformation towards an Industry 4.0. Worldwide. This review indicates that the implementation of industrial systems transforming towards an Industry 4.0 is based on technological, organizational and cultural aspects; It also highlights the lack of studies and implementation designs of the same in developing countries. Examples for the gradual incorporation of existing technologies in the management of industrial processes that exist in our country are proposed.
