Abstract

This paper is aimed at promoting the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teaching. Its objective is to create a website based on a free code tool, to support the teaching-learning process of the subject Database II of the Degree in Computer Education, which contributes to the training of students, taking into account the conditions in which education is currently developed, the evolution of Web sites, the functions it plays in the transmission of knowledge and the advantages of its use in teaching. The information contained in the site was selected taking as reference the curricular programming of the subject. The application of different empirical research methods made it possible to verify that the use of the Web site as a means of teaching constitutes an effective tool that makes teaching not confined to the physical spaces of educational institutions, and on the other hand with its implementation achieved an increase in the quality of the teaching-learning process of this subject in students in the specialty of Information Technology.
