Intelligent System for Intelligent System for Automatic Determination of Structural Pathologies of the Human Foot

Abstract

The human foot is a structure perfectly adapted to meet the multiple demands of support and locomotion of the human body, as well as for the realization of the most complex movements, for that reason an evaluation of the condition of the morphological parameters of the footprint becomes pertinent plant. This publication proposes an intelligent system to support the clinical diagnosis of structural diseases that affect the human foot through a geometric analysis using artificial vision techniques. As a method of evaluation of the system, the percentage of correct answers was used in a population of 110 healthy and sick individuals between 25 and 45 years old, comparing it with the specialist's diagnosis. This research facilitates the diagnosis in a local area and contributes in the pathological solution to low-income people in local health centers, allowing to obtain a preamble in the deterioration of health in the case of the elderly as an approach that can be replicated in the child population maximizing the beneficiary population.
