EasyChair Preprint no. 13538

6 pagesDate: June 3, 2024

Abstract

This research work focuses on zero-knowledge cryptography and its application in blockchain technology. The theoretical foundations of zero-knowledge cryptography are addressed, along with practical applications and limitations. Existing protocols applicable to blockchain are explored. Privacy and confidentiality challenges in the context of blockchain are discussed, and this type of cryptography is shown to mitigate those challenges. Various cryptographic protocols are examined, and an implementation example through the zkLedger system is presented. Finally, current challenges in this field, including computational efficiency, scalability, and interoperability, are identified. The study aims to provide an updated view of zero-knowledge cryptography applied to blockchain and serve as a starting point for future research in this area.
