The Lean Management Approach in the Hospital Supply Chain

Abstract

The hospital supply chain remains essential today as before for the proper functioning of any system. It is at the heart of sustainable development in countries.

Thus we will give importance to the health sector in particular because it has a diversity of logistical flows to save the life of a human being in the context of a new world of emergency that directly affects the state of health of populations.

The pandemic has massively impacted or even revealed the fundamental role of Supply chain.et to meet the challenges logistics we must believe in the philosophy of Lean hospital and Lean logistics. The latter now offers a range of methods and tools that improve hospital performance. But before leaning into the application of logistics performance tools we must be interested in: psychology and culture that gives the overview of any strategy before moving on to the operation. Then the relationship of man at work must be healthy and full of energy and motivation in order to guarantee operational excellence.

Based on our search for the literature review of the term Supply Chain, we found that searches that have been carried out by researchers in the logistics field are often interested in techniques and methods.

And to achieve this, the Supply Chain is invited to be part of the Lean logistics approach and establish the Lean culture and its principles and methods.
