The development of motorcycle technology has now led to an automatic system which has various advantages and disadvantages. This automatic motor also uses an air filter system. The air filter is an equipment that functions to filter air impurities that will enter the combustion chamber. Because of the importance of these equipment, it is necessary to do research with the aim of the effect of air filters on engine performance on automatic motors. The test was carried out experimentally, by comparing standard air filters and racing air filters with different rpm from 3000 rpm - 7000 rpm for each treatment and was carried out with the aim of obtaining automatic engine performance variables, namely effective power, indication power and efficiency. Research shows that the air filter on the automatic motor is very influential on engine performance. The results showed that the racing air filter produces effective power, the highest fuel power at 7000 rpm engine speed compared to standard filters and racing filters. While the highest efficiency was obtained in research without using a filter at 7000 rpm engine speed, however, the combustion engine must still use a filter as a support for optimal performance in a motor vehicle.
