Crack the Myth of "Master Slave Dialectics": Marx's Sublation of Hegel's Concept of Labour - Based on an Analysis of the Economic Philosophy Manuscript of 1844

Abstract

Marx anchored Hegel's Phenomenology of the Spirit to criticize dialectics, which specifically pointed to the concept of labor.Many scholars thus believe that Marx critically inherited the master slave dialectics in Phenomenology, and thus formed the myth of "master slave dialectics" that explains Marx's concept of labor.However, Marx's sublation of Hegel's concept of labor is not limited to this, but also in the dialectical movement of the overall spirit in Hegel's Phenomenology.First,Marx affirmed Hegel's exploration of the essence of labor and the self-creation of people; second, Marx stripped Hegel of the mysterious appearance of the dialectical movement of labor; Moreover, the nature of labor needs to be spread in history.The sublation of the concept of labor in Phenomenology not only presents a new understanding of Hegel's dialectics, but also leads Marx's philosophical revolution —— to break the self-movement within the thinking and make the philosophy truly oriented to reality.
