Parallel Machine Scheduling with Health Index: Mathematical Modeling

Abstract

Many studies have considered scheduling problems occurring in semiconductor manufacturing. However, in these studies, the status associated with a machine is often binary, i.e. 1 means that the machine is available for production and 0 means that the machine is not available due, for example, to failure, maintenance operations or to parameters not meeting the requirement... However, even if the machine is available for production, the quality of the process may not be warranty due to machine deterioration. The problem considered in this abstract aims at taking into account machine deterioration in scheduling by integrating a machine health index.
