2nd International Workshop on Reading Music Systems (WoRMS 2019)
The International Workshop on Reading Music Systems (WoRMS) is a novel workshop that tries to connect researchers who develop systems for reading music, such as in the field of Optical Music Recognition, with other researchers and practitioners that could benefit from such systems, like librarians or musicologists.
After the first successful installation of WoRMS 2018, this year's edition will take place on 2nd November 2019 as a satellite event to ISMIR 2019.
WoRMS will be organized as a 1/2-day workshop and provides an excellent opportunity to share ideas, discuss current developments and shape the future of Optical Music Recognition. We explicitly invite people without a technical background, to participate as well. We would like to promote the diversity of speakers, with each participant getting the opportunity to present his work, discuss current research with the community and foster relationships within the community.
Submissions
Submissions should be no longer than 4 pages (+2 pages appendix) and will undergo a single-blind peer-review process through the EasyChair platform. The four page limit includes the reference section. You may add up to two pages appendix for additional images.
The page limit should encourage high interaction and discussions during the workshop. The accepted papers will be collected in the proceedings, that will be made publicly available after the workshop.
Papers should be formatted with the style files/details available at IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. Paper size is A4.
Workshop Format
The workshop will take half a day and consist of multiple sessions. Each speaker will be given 15 minutes to present his or her work (12 minutes presentation, 3 minutes Q&A). Each session is followed by approximately 20 minutes of panel discussion with all speakers from that session, allowing to answer open questions and giving room for discussions.
Venue
WoRMS will be held at the Aula Congress Centre, Delft University of Technology, Mekelweg 5, 2628 CD Delft, Netherlands.
