The 8th ACM Women in Computing-Philippines Celebration 2022 (ACM WiC-Ph Celebration 2022) will take place on October 28, 2022. The 8th ACM WiC-Ph Celebration 2022 will bring together women from academia, industry, and government to freely share their ideas and opinions on the emerging technologies and issues in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), and Information Systems (IS).

The CSP SIG WIC calls for the submission of extended abstracts about the celebration theme and sub-themes of:

1. Increasing diversity in computing courses and careers

2. Encouraging students to consider computing in their future

3. Recruitment and retention of girls and women in computing courses and careers

4. Initiatives that explore the contribution of computing to society, computing for social impact, creativity, and education

Abstract submission deadline: September 9, 2022

Notification of acceptance: October 9, 2022

Deadline for submission of revised abstract: October 15, 2022

Submission Details

Contents

Extended abstracts should be written according to the structured abstract's underlying structure and in a shorter form than the full text. Subtitles of the extended abstract should at least include the following sections; abstract and keywords, introduction and objective, method, findings and argument, conclusion, and recommendations.

Formatting

The extended abstract of the full paper shall be written with Times New Roman font, single line spacing, and 11 font size. Extended abstracts can contain figures, tables, formulations, or images. Page margins are formed regarding the A4 page size and are 1 inch wide from the right, left, top and bottom. Extended abstracts should not exceed 4 pages, including the references.  

Authors

There should be at least 1 female author in the study.
