What is the World Bamboo Congress (WBC)?

A premier global event that brings together experts, enthusiasts, and stakeholders from across the bamboo industry, the World Bamboo Congress (WBC) serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration. Bringing innovators together for over thirty years, the WBC provides a forum for exploring how bamboo can be sustainably cultivated and processed to address environmental, economic, and social challenges around the world.

The World Bamboo Congress is coming to Europe.

From 7–11 June 2027, the 13th World Bamboo Congress will take place at Theater Zuidplein in Rotterdam.

Bringing together researchers, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, growers, students and industry leaders from around the world, WBC 2027 continues its role as a shared platform for those shaping the future of bamboo across disciplines, scales and regions.

This edition is organized by Summum Engineering Cooperative U.A., under the auspices of the World Bamboo Organization (WBO), and in close collaboration with VKOZ, Atelier Nomadic and NAP Ingenieurs.

Submission Guidelines
