INTRO
Van Lang-HeriTech was born in 2020 from an idea of the VLU-INCHES, Institute of Cultural Heritage and Development Studies of Van Lang University and the Department of Architecture.
The idea is to create a synergy between Cultural Heritage and Greener Technologies in the World of Business and the Academe.
The 1st International Conference on Van Lang-HeriTech themed on “The Era of Green Technology in the Innovative Digital Heritage Transformation” is on the rising topic of United Nations discussion which has mentioned by António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations in which there is a combination of sustainability and digital development that relates to the development of cultural heritage in the digital era. This issue is today’s challenges for most of the business in balancing of two approaches. Van Lang University organized this Conference concerning the promotion of the University’s Art and Restoration Program. The Conference is an international event that gives significant opportunities to bring together prestigious institutions and industries to be one, holding hand in hand to find a solution to the issue with Academic scholars and the University’s expertise.
Van Lang-HeriTech is the first International Conference to be held in Vietnam that welcomes experts, researchers, and scholars worldwide, focusing on current and future issues related to innovative techniques and technologies. The University aims to be the international heart of Art and Restoration to Material Science, Sustainable Architecture for Cultural Heritage, Digital Heritage, Environmental Engineering and Management, and Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Communication Technology as well as a forum for meeting and discussion with the experts, industry operators and enthusiasts around the world. The Conference will be a significant opportunity to exchange ideas between researchers and companies to promote productive excellence and technological evolution to the greater use of culture for younger sections of the population and specialization in graduates and Ph.D. students’ educational field.
The objectives of this Conference are as follows; to foster Vietnam mobility and cooperation between students and staff; to enhance the nation’s development as a multi-cultural society and to encourage the concept that scientific-cultural research must be an integral part of the community; to promote international networks between universities, training institutes, and companies and to create long-term collaboration opportunities; also it will create favorable conditions for young graduates to enter the world of work; then to demonstrate the influence of new technologies in the arts and how they can be used it for innovative teaching and learning; and lastly, to establish contacts and cooperation between Institutions in the Academic world and the world of work.
