The 17th UK Heat Transfer conference will be held at the university where Osborne Reynolds and Thomas Stanton undertook their pioneering researches; The University of Manchester. The conference will provide an international forum for addressing a wide range of current research problems in heat transfer, both fundamental issues and industrial applications.
Papers are invited on all aspects of heat transfer, including:
- Forced, natural and mixed convection,
- Turbulence and turbulent heat transfer,
- Two-phase flow, including boiling and condensation,
- High- and low-Prandtl number effects,
- Porous media and radiation.
There will, in addition, be special application-oriented sessions on heat transfer in three key industrial areas: Solar energy; Gas-Turbine hot section components; and Nuclear energy. Both oral and poster presentations of papers will be presented.

Submission Guidelines
Offers of papers are to be made by an extended abstract of up to 3 pages in length, inclusive of key figures. The submission deadline is February 28th, 2021. Extended abstracts of all accepted papers with be included in the printed documentation for the conference (full papers will be on USB stick only), and will thus be required to conform to the conference format. Venue
The University of Manchester looks forward to welcoming you and your colleagues to the 17th UK Heat Transfer Conference (UKHTC2021). The conference will be held on the University's North Campus in the Renold Building providing multiple tiered lecture theatres and a huge exhibition area. It's just a 5-minute walk from Manchester Picadilly, the city's principal rail terminus, and a 5-10-minute stroll to the main downtown areas with their abundance of department stores, boutiques hotels and restaurants.
