SUCCESS (Symposium on Urban Crises and Cyber Emergencies for Smart Students) attracts countless students, faculty members, and interested people each semester. The program consists of a diverse academic tracks from (1) Peace Informatics and Technical Peace Research, (2) Crisis Informatics and Information Warfare, and (3) Usable Security and Privacy. The conference is an intersection of the disciplines of (A) cyber security and privacy, (B) peace and conflict studies, and (C) human-computer interaction.
SUCCESS '22 will take place will take place in Darmstadt, Germany on March 8-9, 2022 and is organized by the chair of Science and Technology for Peace and Security (PEASEC) by Prof. Dr. Christian Reuter. It is exclusively reserved for the students of the seminar courses "Krisen-, Sicherheits- und Friedenstechnologie" and "Informatik, Ethik und Gesellschaft" at Technical University of Darmstadt. This year's focus is on Cyber Incident Response, Climate Change Adaptation and Crisis Informatics.

Attendees: Exclusively reserved for the students of the seminar courses "Krisen-, Sicherheits- und Friedenstechnologie" and "Informatik, Ethik und Gesellschaft" at Technical University of Darmstadt and PEASEC members.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Contributions can be submitted and presented in German or English.
Extended Abstract
Please submit your extended abstracts (Exposé) as a PDF document for the first review with the following mandatory informations:
- Preliminary title of the paper, name of the seminar, list of authors (including name, university course, matriculation number, email address, desired credit points), supervisor (Marc-Andé Kaufhold or Steffen Haesler) and examiner (Prof. Dr. Christian Reuter).
Abstracts should have an introduction which motivates the topic, outlines the main goals of the paper, provides an outlook on the planned methodology, and includes a few references. You can use either the template of the final paper (see below) or the Word template in Moodle unless the mandatory informations above are listed. The typical length is 2-4 pages.

The length of the paper should be about 9.000-11.000 words, depending on the number of autors. We are using the ACM Primary Article Template, please use one of the following templates (We recommend LaTeX)

The submission of contributions is only possible in electronic form via this conference management system.
Paper Submission (Jan 2022)
We require the final version as a PDF document and additionally the Word document or the ZIP file with the required LaTeX files (see LaTeX template). Other formats will not be accepted.
Camera Ready Version (Mar 2022)
We require the final version as a PDF document, LaTeX Source, the slides of the conference presentation, Research Data and supplementary material in the appendix, as ZIP file or via PEASEC gitlab installation and Moodle.
