The Students' Chemical Engineering Congress (SCHEMCON), an annual event organized by the Students' Chapter of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) under one of its Regional Centers (IIChE Headquarter, Kolkata), is being organized jointly by MANIT Bhopal and IISER Bhopal. It provides a platform to Chemical Engineers for interacting, learning and to gain exposure of research in the area of Chemical Engineering and the technology development. The SCHEMCON-2021 with a theme “Globally Advancement in Technology for Environment (GATE2021)” is expected to develop a formal platform for enriching scientifically through discussions and knowledge sharing in the field of chemical and process industries. The aim of the SCHEMCON-2021 is to challenge and inspire the budding chemical engineers, research scholars and industry for exchanging knowledge and sharing of best practices in a global-scale context toward advances for a clean and sustainable environment. The event will also provide an excellent opportunity for young researchers and post-graduate students to interact with eminent scientists and industrial personnel working in the frontier areas of chemical engineering science.
For MP Chary Award, the awardee has to be an outstanding chemical engineer below 35 years of age doing PhD or completed PhD on or after July 2021 who will be required to make a presentation on any advanced topic of interest/ case study/ industrial achievement/ research experience. The award carries M.P. Chary Medal and a prize money of Rs. 10,000/-
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Papers are invited in all areas of Chemical Engineering with the theme “Globally Advancement in Technology for Environment (GATE2021)” and not limited to the following topics.
- Industrial wastewater treatment technology
- Energy & environmental engineering including modeling and simulation
- Energy resources: potential, estimation and utilization of renewable resources
- Environmental biotechnology, nanoparticles application in energy and environment
- Green materials for accurate, cheap and faster detection of COVID-19
- Energy technologies for rural development, greenhouse farming, energy plantation in agriculture
- Environmental impact assessments in the Indian context
- Case studies/critical assessment, state-of-art in the above areas

Font
Use Times New Roman font in size 12 with double-line spacing.
Margins
Margins should be at least 2.5cm (1 inch).
Title
Use bold for your article title, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns. (Times New Roman, Bold, 14 point)

Abstract
The abstract should be at maximum 250 words, but not exceeding one A4 page. Abstract should be submitted along with the registration to https://forms.gle/NHr6kS4U7MwnGiyK8 and for MP Chary Award submit your abstract to https://forms.gle/pTkaPBCcExEM6EEk8.

Upon the acceptance of the abstract and after the scrutiny, candidates will be intimated to submit their registration form along with the full paper as per the guidelines or requested to submit in poster format. Detailed guidelines as per the journal format will be intimated to selected participants. The papers will be accepted subjected to peer review and the changes should be incorporated as per the feedback.

Keywords
Keywords help readers find your article, so are vital for discoverability. Kindly provide three to six keywords separated by;
Author details. All authors of a manuscript should include their full name and affiliation on the cover page of the manuscript. Where available, please also include ORCiDs and social media handles . One author will need to be identified as the corresponding author, with their email address normally displayed in the article . Authors’ affiliations are the affiliations where the research was conducted. If any of the named co-authors moves affiliation during the peer-review process, the new affiliation can be given as a footnote. Please note that no changes to affiliation can be made after your paper is accepted.
- Format for Poster Submission-

TITLE
· The title should be the same as in the submitted abstract.
SIZE
· The poster must be A0 size (A0 size is 841mm x 1189mm) in portrait orientation.
LETTERING
· The poster should be easily readable at a distance of two metres. Use UPPER and lower case for general content as the use of all-capital text is difficult to read. Avoid using a mixture of type/font styles.
TITLE
· Include the title of your presentation at the top of the poster. Characters should be a minimum of 48 point font size. Your name, School or Centre should also be displayed on the poster. HEADINGS 48 to 60 point font size is recommended for headings.
CONTENT
· 24 to 32 font size single spaced is recommended.
· The message that your poster contains should be clear and understandable without the requirement of oral explanation.
· Results should be in line with those originally submitted in your abstract.
· Use pictures, symbols and colour. Figure legends are essential and should be short but informative. If using graphs, they should have a short heading.
· For visual effect, we recommend that graphs be no smaller than 12cm x 18cm. Photographs should be no smaller than 12cm x 18cm. Use the space to attract your audience for discussion, not to present complex details of methods and results.
