We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for our upcoming workshop on Socially-Competent Agents that Care, to be held in conjunction with Human-Agent Interaction 2024, in Swansea, the United Kingdom. This workshop aims to explore cutting-edge research and design practices in AI systems that prioritize social competence, empathy, and user-centered interaction.
Topics of Interest
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit work in progress focusing on, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Human-Agent Interaction
- Human-Computer Interaction
- Robotics
- Applied Machine Learning
- Assisted Healthcare
- Industrial Design
- Value-Based Design
- Inclusiveness and Empathetic Design
- Personalization in AI Systems
- Long-Term Human-Agent Interaction
Submission Details
We welcome submissions in the form of extended abstracts (2 pages, excluding references). Submissions should present original contributions that have not been previously published. We accept ongoing work. All submissions will undergo a single-blind peer-review process conducted by experts in AI, robotics, HCI, ethics, and related fields. Submissions should be in PDF-format using the ACM template (sigconf for LateX). Please submit to EasyChair deadline October 31 (AoE).
Workshop Format
Accepted papers will be presented during poster pitches at the workshop. These presentations will serve as the foundation for our brainstorm and design session, where participants will collaborate on innovative solutions and ideas.
