Submission deadline | May 21, 2021 |
The Postgraduate Research Conference gives PhD students in the Department of Psychology at the University of York an opportunity to present their ongoing research. This provides students with experience presenting their work in an academic setting, and it showcases the diversity of research that is being conducted within the department. This year's conference will be held on Tuesday, 29 June, 2021.
- Year 1 students will present a “flash poster”, in which they will have two minutes to present a single powerpoint slide about their work, and take a single question. This will be done online, with students presenting their poster by sharing their screen.
- Year 2 students will give a 12 minute oral presentation (9 minutes speaking and 3 minutes for questions). This will be done online, with students giving their talk by sharing their screen.
Submission Guidelines
All Year 1 and Year 2 PhD students should submit a 100-150 word abstract for their presentation by Friday 21 May, 2021. All submissions must be original. Students should solicit at least one round of feedback from their supervisor before submitting their abstract.
All submitted abstracts will be distributed to the department as part of a conference programme.
