Workshop Submissions
Workshop sessions are expected to focus on specific topics relevant to this year’s theme of "Digital transformation: smart machines for smarter decisions", in particular:
- Traditional and AI-enabled information assurance
- Addressing supply chain security challenges
- Moving from Information Assurance to Mission Assurance
- Data as a strategic resource

Workshop sessions are 45 minutes long, including a 5 minutes Q&A session at the end. They should be as interactive as possible, engaging with the audience and aimed at provoking questions and triggering debate. We encourage you to discuss concepts, designs, generic solutions, sharing experience and ideas again with audience participation welcomed. We want you to seize this opportunity to display your expert knowledge!
Please note, marketing and sales pitches during workshop sessions are strictly prohibited. Feedback from attendees has made it clear that this is not welcome in workshops. Participants are more likely to attend vendor booths following a presentation if the information presented piqued their interest.
Workshop submissions are to be formatted according to the following structure:
- Title of the presentation: as catchy as possible but self-explanatory
- Description: a short description that will be published to advertise the presentation (max 3 lines)
- Synopsis: approx. 500 word detailed description of the presentation. This is the main element taken into consideration for the selection of speakers.

- Target audience: Please identify your target audience (e.g., business execs, technical staffs, decision makers)
- Speaker Bio: background, including experience presenting in similar workshops
- If possible, a good quality picture and a short bio of each selected speaker.
- Format: brief explanation of the format and how it will be attractive/interactive for the audience.

Selection Criteria
- Speaker slots are NEVER reserved and are NOT assigned prior to synopsis submission

Submissions which the NCIA Planning Team determines to be product pitches will be rejected.
Again, all submissions must be received by 23:59 UTC on 15 August 2019 (final extension).
