An international conference on spatial planning and development on land and at sea.
- When: 2 and 3 June 2022
- Where: Breda University of Applied Sciences, Mgr. Hopmansstraat 2, Breda, the Netherlands, with an opportunity to join online.
- For Whom: Researchers, practitioners, educators, students, consultants, and other interested parties
There will be no attendance fee of any kind, thanks to the EU Erasmus+ project 'Knowledge Flows'.

Submission Guidelines
You will only need to submit an abstract of your proposed contribution.
The following contribution types are welcome:
- Papers. Note: All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. They should also be finished by and presented at the conference.
- Presentations. It is not necessary to submit a full paper if you only wish to present.
- Posters. Preferably of A0 size.
- Workshops. Note: explain both the content and structure of your proposed workshop.
- Market stands. Ideal for demonstrating to or testing with passers-by your tools / software / materials.
Your submission will be reviewed. You will receive the final decision accompanied by the reviews by 30 April 2022 the latest.

- Where do we come from? The similar and differing theoretical underpinnings of, and perspectives behind, strategic-level urban, terrestrial or marine spatial planning and development.
- What are we doing? The methods, tools, techniques and best practices of strategic-level urban, terrestrial or marine spatial planning and development, and how these compare to each other.
- Where are we going? The transitions that strategic-level urban, terrestrial or marine spatial planners and developers need to work on together, notably sustainability transitions and preventing and adapting to climate change.

Publication
The organizing committee will invite the 5-10 best papers for a full paper review and thus possible publication in a special issue of the open-access journal Environments, published by MDPI, with a significant discount in the article processing charge. The exact charge depends on the number of papers put forward to the journal. It is the organizing commitee's aim to keep the charge as low as possible.

The conference will be held at Breda University of Applied Sciences, Mgr. Hopmansstraat 2, Breda, the Netherlands, with an opportunity to join online to also enable remote participation.
