The Slovenian Language Technologies Society (SDJT), the Centre for Language Resources and Technologies at the University of Ljubljana (CJVT), and the research infrastructures CLARIN.SI (Jožef Stefan Institute) and DARIAH-SI (Institute of Contemporary History and ZRC SAZU) organise the biennial international conference “Language Technologies and Digital Humanities”.

The conference has more than 20 years of tradition, and was thematically expanded in 2016 to include digital humanities. This year, the conference will be organised by the Institute of Contemporary History (INZ), and will take place at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science of the University of Ljubljana, which will host the event on September 17 and 18, 2026.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The templates are available from the conference webpage. We welcome extended abstracts and full papers on topics that include but are not limited to:

• speech and other mono- and multilingual language technologies;
• digital linguistics: translation studies, corpus linguistics, lexicology and lexicography, standardisation;
• digital humanities and historical studies, ethnology, musicology, cultural heritage, archaeology, and fine arts;
• digital humanities in education and digital publishing.

Important Dates

• April 24, 2026: submission deadline for papers and extended abstracts
• June 12, 2026: notification of acceptance
• August 7, 2026: deadline for final versions
• August 28, 2026: registration deadline
• September 16, 2026: pre-conference events and workshops
• September 17–18, 2026: JT-DH 2026 conference
