Humans can perceive social cues and interaction contexts to infer internal states like emotions and intentions, essential for effective social interactions and desirable in intelligent systems such as robots and human-machine interfaces. However, machines struggle to perceive these human states accurately in noisy real-world settings, even though recent works use deep learning and facial features to estimate them under controlled conditions. This workshop aims to gather interdisciplinary researchers to discuss current achievements and future directions in human behavior and state understanding, focusing on cognition-aware computing and integrating various nonverbal social cues for better human-machine interaction.
Submission Guidelines
We invite authors to submit unpublished papers (IEEE format) to our workshop, to be presented at a poster session upon acceptance. All submissions will go through a double-blind review process. All contributions must be submitted (along with any supplementary materials) at the following EasyChair link.
