Internet of Things (IoT) has become a wildly popular term these days often used to describe a world in which virtually every electronic device connects to the Internet and to each other to introduce significant advantages in terms of automation, energy efficiency, security, energy conservation and living comfortably. In this context, the Energy Internet is seen as a major step from present situations where devices can be remotely controlled, toward smart energy applications by many aspects: the number of connected objects, the nature of objects, the technologies and architectures involved based on technical ecosystems, and the big data management as an ability to collect large amounts of unstructured data, analyze, and then predict future behavior.
The aim of this special session is to provide the last and the most innovative contributions in IoT-enabled solutions for improving the controllability, observability, efficiency, sustainability and reliability in current and future smart energy networks. Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts for review for publication in this special session. Original research and practical contributions as well as surveys and state-of-the-art tutorials are welcome.
Submission Guidelines
All papers need to be submitted electronically in PDF format via EasyChair; EasyChair submission point is:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iot4e2017
The materials presented in the papers should not be published or under submission elsewhere. Each paper is limited to 6 pages (or 8 pages with over-length charge) including figures and references using IEEE Manuscripts style (two columns, single-spaced, 10 fonts). Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings can be found at:
https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html.
Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference proceedings. At least one of the authors of any accepted paper is requested to register the paper at the conference.
The important dates:
Submission of papers: 1 March 2017 (could be extended to 22 March 2017)
Notification of acceptance: 22 April 2017
Camera-ready papers: 15 May 2017
