About Conference:

International Conference on Forensic Sciences and Cyber Security (INFORSECON 2017) will be held at Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat - India on 05 and 06 October 2017. More than 500 delegates from various government, non-government organizations are expected to participate in the exclusive conference for forensic and security officials. The delegates will deliberate on various sensitive and important topics which mainly include Crime Scene Management, Criminal Justice System for Big Data, Cyber Security aspects of Applied Sciences and Investigative Sciences etc. The conference seeks submissions from researchers, academia, industry and government officers presenting novel research on all aspects of forensic sciences and security. Selected papers reviewed by the peer review committee will be published in conference proceeding with ISBN number.

About University

 

Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is established by the Government of Gujarat under the aegis of Home Department in 2009 with the prime objective to provide highly qualified experts in the areas of forensic and allied sciences to the country and the world.  The GFSU is the unique and only university across the world, dedicated to Forensic & Investigative Sciences.   GFSU also plays vital role in strengthening Criminal Justice Delivery System by imparting training to the officers of the system. The university is accredited by the University Grants Commission, Government of India in 2016 and awarded “A” grade. The GFSU is conducting more than 41 PG programmes including Doctoral program in the field of Forensic & Investigative Sciences, Behavioral sciences and Security through its three constituent institutes. 

Institute of Foren­sic Sci­ence is one of its premier Insti­tutes, engaged in pro­duc­ing experts in the field of Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tion, who are armed with advanced sci­en­tific tech­niques. The pri­mary and the most impor­tant vision of the Insti­tu­tion is to incul­cate the appli­ca­tion of var­i­ous sci­en­tific dis­ci­plines for the pur­pose of jus­tice deliv­ery. The Insti­tute has started some exclu­sive type of courses like MA/M.Sc.-​Homeland Secu­rity & Anti-​Terrorism, M. Tech Cyber Secu­rity & Inci­dent Response, P.G. Diploma Foren­sic Nurs­ing, MS Dig­i­tal Foren­sics and Information Security, M.Sc. Foren­sic Odon­tol­ogy etc.

Insti­tute of Behavioral Sci­ence is one of the cen­tres of post­grad­u­ate edu­ca­tion of GFSU engaged in research in the mind-​brain domain, with cen­tral focus on crim­i­nal behavior, foren­sic psy­chol­ogy, and clin­i­cal psy­chol­ogy. The courses run by Institute of Behavioral Science provides an oppor­tu­nity to stu­dents for spe­cial­iz­ing in these areas for under­stand­ing not only the deviant behavior and their man­i­fes­ta­tion but also equips them with tech­niques of cop­ing with stress and its adverse effects.

The Insti­tute of Research & Devel­op­ment is ded­i­cated to furthering research in the areas of Foren­sic and Investigative Sci­ences, Foren­sic Phar­macy and Nan­otech­nol­ogy. This also pro­vides Master and Doctoral degrees in var­i­ous spe­cial­iza­tions of Foren­sic Sci­ences such as Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals, Nan­otech­nol­ogy, Envi­ron­men­tal Sci­ence, Chem­istry and Management cre­at­ing experts in these fields.
 

Conference Themes

GFSU is organizing an International Conference entitled INFORSECON 2017, from 05 and 06 October 2017. The conference aims to bring together leading academics, researchers, scholars, scientists, investigators and security professionals from various domains to exchange and share their experiences and research findings.  The conference theme will cover various branches of Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security.

The conference will be held over two days, with presentations delivered by researchers from various national and international communities, including presentations from eminent speakers and keynote lectures.

The field of forensic sciences, digital forensics, cyber security and cybercrime investigation has become very important for law enforcement, national security, and information assurance. This is a multidisciplinary area that encompasses forensic sciences, security, law, behavioral sciences, computer science, accounts & finance, telecommunications, data analytics, and policing. This conference brings together practitioners and researchers from diverse fields providing opportunities for business and intellectual engagement among attendees.
