Due to the pandemic situation we are living in nowadays, the Executive Committee of the ICEM Conference and the Local Organizers have decided to postpone the conference to 22-24 of september 2021 at Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, Portugal.
The annual Conference of International Council of Educational Media (ICEM) is a meeting place for researchers and practitioners in the field of educational media and technology enhanced learning. ICEM is one of the oldest associations in the field, being established by European ministries of education and UNESCO in 1950. The ICEM 2020 Conference will take place at Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, Portugal on 14 – 16 October.With ICEM Conference there is the opportunity for presenting and discussing new educational tools and environments, experiences and best practices and case studies on innovative technology-based learning strategies, and institutional policies on educational media and computer supported education. It will provide an overview of current technologies as well as upcoming trends, and promote discussion about the pedagogical potential of educational environments and technologies in the academic field. The Conference programme will include presentations of research results and best practice, hands-on workshops, poster session, roundtable sessions, demos and showcases.
Submission Guidelines
The Parallel Sessions of the Conference are intended to share and disseminate good practices in the area of educational media, aiming to value and promote pedagogical excellence at different levels of education.
All proposals must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
The Organizing Committee of ICEM2020 invites participants to submit (Use Springer LNCS template):

Abstracts (with up to 2 pages);
-
Papers (with up to 6 pages);
-
Posters (abstract with up to 2 pages).
The proposals must be submitted through EasyChair (31 may 2020). Once the proposal is accepted (29 june 2020), authors must submit the final version of the proposal (20 september 2020). A book of proceedings will be published (with ISBN) and distributed during the Conference.

- Demo Sessions (Summary up to 2 pages)Displayed near the exhibition area for the duration of the conference.
- Workshops (Summary up to 2 pages, detailing the content, format, length, limit of participants and specific requirements – room tipology, hardware, support material…)Workshops can follow a variety of formats, providing teaching or training skills, ranging from mini-courses and seminars, to problem-solving and activity-based sessions, to hands-on practical work. These may be based on project experiences. Workshops can offer an opportunity for identifying common issues and developing ideas for further work within your education and media networks. The length of the workshops varies according to the format. Please choose the most appropriate length for your proposal from the options below: - 120 minute workshop; - 180 minute workshop; - all day workshop.
