College of Computer and Information Sciences
King Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is organizing the 2020 1st International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & Modern Assistive Technology (ICAIMAT) from November 24-26, 2020 as Video Conference.
Dear aspiring researchers,
AI has been a part of the human life for many years. The technology is responsible for picture library searches for a certain person or location, suggested responses on Gmail, and auto-captions on Facebook. It makes services like speech-to-text possible. It is also making improvements on understanding different voices. It brought innovations, such as Alexa, Cortana, Siri, and other voice recognition services, which are increasingly becoming popular. Smart technology also uses AI to provide safety. Smart locks determine who can enter the house when the owner is not at home. Smart smoke alarms are capable of pointing people to the spot of a potential fire. Devices like smart security cameras can use voice technology and AI to help monitor the house remotely.
Whether in robot, speaker, or vehicle form, AI has started to revolutionize people’s lives, including accessibility for individuals with special needs and the aging population.
In the times of COVID19 and as Matissa Hollister, Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour, McGill University, stated in a recent article: AI can help with the COVID-19 crisis
May we all stay safe and protected, lets work on solutions then,
Prof. Rachid Sammouda, General Chair
