As part of the global competitiveness and innovation in health research priority of the NUHRA 2017-2022, the De La Salle University – Institute of Biomedical Engineering & Health Technologies (DLSU-IBEHT) will conduct the first of an annual Philippine Biomedical Engineering and Health Technologies Conference and Exhibit (IBEHTCE2022). The conference will focus on therapeutic, assistive, rehabilitative, and minimally invasive surgical devices and health technologies with themes of commercialization-driven development, user-centered collaborative design, and preparing biomedical researchers and innovators for an adaptive and resilient future.

Conference Objectives

• To provide a venue for information exchange between researchers and experts in the field of biomedical engineering
• To showcase the latest technologies developed locally by research partners
• To identify possible areas of collaboration between the research community, industry, and other stakeholders
• To recommend strategies to initiate a research-based biomedical industry in the country

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

All papers should be prepared in English and carefully checked for correct grammar. Figures should be of high quality.

Registration

Paper presenters should register at https://forms.gle/4qcBPUxTzyY8jAP39 

Registration Fee:

P1,500 for Students, P3,000 for Non-Students for each paper. The conference is free to all non-presenters!

Conference Presentation

• Instructions for the preparation of the online presentation will be sent together with acceptance notifications.
• For each submission, at least one author is expected to attend the conference. Presenting authors must register for the conference and pay the registration fee.
• Only those submissions for which a presenting author has registered by the registration deadline will be scheduled for presentation and included in the program.

Proceedings

• Each paper submitted shall be reviewed by independent referees and the final acceptance for publication of the submitted article is based on a majority vote of referees.
• Once the reviewing process is complete, the contact author of each paper will be notified of the result by e-mail.
• Authors are required to follow the reviews in order to improve their paper before their final submission.
• All accepted final papers will get a chance to be published in the Journal of Computational Innovations and Engineering Applications, a peer-reviewed, open-access journal of De La Salle University, Manila.
