Increasingly healthcare service providers are employing IoT-enabled devices for monitoring patient health care, but their diagnosis & prescriptions are often instance specific only. However, these IoT-enabled healthcare devices are generating a huge volume of Data that could be analysed for more accurate diagnosis & prescriptions. This book concerns new and innovative ways in which such data can be collected, stored, and analysed using IoT and Big Data technologies. It addresses aspects of how ‘smart’ healthcare can be used to detect and analyse diseases. It will also cover the underlying methodologies and related security concerns that working with patient Data brings. IoT-enabled healthcare technologies are suitable for remote health monitoring, including rehabilitation, assisted ambient living, etc. In turn, healthcare analytics can be applied to the data gathered from different areas to improve healthcare outcomes at minimum expense. The book is designed to be a reference to those using, designing, modelling, and analyzing intelligent healthcare services. This book will be divided into 2 parts, the 1st will cover new and current Health monitoring systems that make use of the IoT. The 2nd part will cover the (big) data analysis of the collected information from these IoT health monitoring systems and the various applications that can make use of such data to improve patient outcomes. It covers topics including:
