51st Georgia Conference on Children's Literature (March 27-28, 2020)
As an integral part of Georgia's literacy initiative for half a century, the Georgia Conference on Children's Literature draws hundreds of teachers, school media specialists, public librarians, authors, illustrators, and children's literature scholars from the Southeast and beyond. The conference also hosts the finals of the annual Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl, a statewide competition for students in grades 4-12.
The two-day conference at the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel and is organized by the Department of Language and Literacy Education.
Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the annual Georgia Conference on Children's Literature! We invite teachers, media specialists, public librarians, children and young adult literature and literacy scholars, authors, illustrators, and others with expertise in children’s and young adult’s literature to submit their proposals by 11:59 p.m. on October 1, 2019 via our online form. If you experience any difficulties with our online proposal system, please contact gcba@uga.edu.
Abstract is limited to 50 words. This is what you will see on the conference program
Paper or Presentation Description is limited to 250 words.
NOTE: Acceptance notification will be available early December 2019. If your proposal is accepted, all presenters and co-presenters are required to register for the conference (including registration cost) by the early registration deadline (date TBD) in order to be included on the program and present at the conference.
All papers must be original.
