FESTSCHRIFT FOR PROF IMELDA UDOH @60: Language Documentation and Description in Nigeria |
CALL FOR PAPERS
LANGUAGE DOCUMENTATION AND DESCRIPTION IN NIGERIA
(FINAL EXTENDED CALL: Deadline: August 20, 2019)
Early 2020, we want to celebrate Professor Imelda Udoh, a linguist of no mean repute, who has navigated the length and breadth of Nigeria and continents of the world, preaching the gospel of Linguistics/language data gathering. Beyond constantly getting her feet ‘dirty’ for Linguistics, Prof. Udoh has been actively involved in the Language Documentation enterprise and has been collaborating with Language Engineers to solve language problems, thus greatly contributing to the documentation, preservation and vitality of our indigenous Nigerian languages.
To celebrate Professor Imelda Udoh on her 60th birthday, we plan to put together and present well-researched papers in a festschrift.

- LINGUISTIC DESCRIPTION OF NIGERIAN LANGUAGES, LITERATUREs, CULTURES AND indigenous KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMs.
- DOCUMENTATION OF NIGERIAN LANGUAGES, LITERATUREs, CULTURES AND indigenous KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMs.
- Computational/TECHNOLOGICAL APPLICATION OF theories to NIGERIAN LANGUAGES, linguistics and LITERATUREs.
