About the book
The aim of this book is to get the readers through the systematic evolution of digitized societies and to address the challenges encountered and their solutions towards the use of advanced technologies in the development of these. The book mainly covers a variety of areas such as smart cities, healthcare informatics, transportation automation, digital transformation of education, etc.
The explosion of information and communication technologies has transformed the way we live, learn, work and socialize. This heavy intervention of technologies in the modern world has triggered us to think about how we engage and interact with each other and how we make use of these digital tools and communications channels. And consequent upon which societies are transforming into digitized societies where datafication, platform station and algorithmic governance are common vocabulary words.
The book intends to be treated as a single source to provide a systematic discussion of the bouquet of areas essentially part of a digitized society. In light of this, the book will accommodate theoretical, methodological, well-established, and validated empirical work dealing with various related topics. Special focus will be given to in-depth experimental and applied topics.
