ECSCW 2018 Call for Exploratory Papers
Deadline: Friday, January 26, 2018
http://ecscw2018.loria.fr/exploratory-papers/
We invite you to submit your excellent research to the ECSCW 2018 conference Exploratory Papers program. Exploratory papers are shorter, peer-reviewed contributions that will be published in the ECSCW/EUSSET Digital Library as an edited collection with ISBN and DOIs.
ECSCW 2018, the 16th European Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work is the international venue on Practice-centred computing and the Design of cooperation technologies. ECSCW 2018 will take place in Nancy (France) on June 4-8, 2018.
ECSCW is a series of international conferences on computer-supported cooperative work, located in Europe. The conference series is affiliated with EUSSET – the European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies (http://www.eusset.eu). Starting with 2018, ECSCW is merging with COOP conference and becomes an annual conference. The ECSCW conference is an important venue for defining and further developing the agenda of CSCW research with a focus on the in-depth understanding of human practices and technologies. An overview of earlier ECSCW conferences (and proceedings) is available in the EUSSET Digital Library at http://dl.eusset.eu .
More details on the 2018 conference are at http://ecscw2018.loria.fr.
Exploratory Papers were introduced at ECSCW 2017. We invite smaller, focused studies, critical literature reviews, early results, and/or provocative ideas that are not yet ready for a journal submission, but could benefit from presentation and discussion within the ECSCW community. http://ecscw2018.loria.fr/exploratory-papers/
While the length of exploratory papers is flexible, we expect that papers will be no longer than 6,000 words (without references). With exploratory papers, we aim at having lively sessions that will contribute to shaping the future of practice-focused CSCW research.
Exploratory paper submissions will be reviewed by the ECSCW 2018 Program Committee in one round of evaluation (accepted or rejected). Please follow the exploratory papers template. The template can be downloaded in the following formats:
RTF: http://ecscw2018.loria.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/ECSCW-2018_EP-template.rtf
DOC: http://ecscw2018.loria.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/ECSCW-2018_EP-template.doc
Latex: http://ecscw2018.loria.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/ECSCW-2018_EP-latex-template.zip
We adopt a single-blind review policy. Therefore Exploratory Papers should not be anonymised.
Authors of Exploratory Papers will retain the copyright and will then be able to reuse their work in teaching, future publications, and other scholarly and professional activities, and to deposit their work in a university repository.
Exploratory Papers can be submitted via EasyChair at this link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ecscw2018exploratory before Friday, January 26, 2018.
