Submission Guidelines
The deadline for submitting extended abstracts is 19 Oct. 2020.
To submit a paper, please access the DEIMS2021 submission page in Easy Chair Conference System and upload the extended abstract (from 2 to 4 pages).
The file format of the extended abstract should be either Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, LaTeX or Text.
In it, please include all authors' name(s), affiliation, contact information and a brief summary up to 100 words.
They will be reviewed by two DEIMS IPC members, and the result will be announced on 9 Nov. 2020.
Final paper (camera-ready) versions should conform to a specified style, preferably using either LaTeX2e.
Thestyle file or Microsoft template (the Easy-Chair standard template).
Submission categories:
- Full paper: up to 10 pages in the specified style,
- Short paper: up to 4 pages in the specified style.

The main topics of the workshop will include, but not be limited to;
- Digitizing and processing printed documents in STEM(science, technology, engineering and mathematics):technology / practice,
- Digital libraries for STEM,
- Accessibility of STEM documents, accessible PDF (e.g.PDF/UA) for STEM documents,
- Accessibility of tables and figures,
- e-learning, online services in STEM fields and the inaccessibility,
- Accessibility in online STEM education,
- Accessibility in a learning management system (LMS) or other groupware,
- Assistive tools for disabled people,
- Services and technologies for inclusive environment,
- Higher education for disabled students,
- Other related topics.
We believe that your experiences and practical trials through this coronavirus pandemic should have great potential to bring about marked progress in these fields.

The conference will be held in Nihon University, College of Science and Technology (Surugadai Campus1-8-14, Kanda-Surugadai, Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo 101-8308, Japan).
Most likely it will be held as a virtual event, but we still have a slight hope that some of you will become able to come to Japan at that time.
If it is still hard to hold a face-to-face event at that time in Japan, we will host it as an online or a partially online meeting.
